Creation Design has a dedicated team of highly qualified tradesmen, some of whom have been with us for nearly ten years, and are experienced in all facets of upholstery.

Ranging from new designs, to custom built pieces, through to traditional period refurbishment of Antique furniture.

Phil McMillan, Managing Director

Phil has over 30 years experience in the Furniture Industry. 

Studying his craft with Elka Furnishing Company in the 1980s and working with Ocean fast Motor Yachts During the defence of the Americas cup. Phil has spent some years out of Creation design where he gained valuable experience in the Commercial Furniture and Building Fit out Markets.

Phil’s Role in Creation Design is predominately Sales and Marketing of the company’s Products and Services. Along with the Production Management of the factory, and project management of the Commercial and Hospitality fit outs

Sue McMillan, Director

Sue has also been involved in the Commercial Furniture and Fit out industries for over 25 years starting with Masterplanners as the PA for the Managing Director, before joining Creation Design in 1996 Sue is the back bone of the business and looks after the full day to day operations of the Company, from the initial Processing of orders, through to the complete financial control of the business

Sue also works closely with all of our clients, Architects, Designers and Builders, working with them and their documentation to achieve the best design and manufacturing outcome’s for their projects.

History

In 1993 Creation design was born, the brain child of Phil & Tim, Creation design started life as a commercial re-upholstery business specializing in the recovery and refurbishment of Commercial office furniture, after a few years they started to grow the team and moved into manufacturing new Commercial lounges, tub chairs and occasional furniture Along with the manufacture of commercial furniture Creation design started to make selected quality exclusive pieces for some of Perth’s Prestige retailers.

As the Business grew so did the avenues for manufacturing, into Hospitality Both Locally and Interstate, working closely with many of Perth top interior design companies Creation design was Successful on several large projects Including The Cabaret Bar at The Burswood casino, Esplanade Hotel, Qantas Gold Wing Lounge.

As Markets have changed and we see the continued Influx of imported Furniture from all over the world we have diversified our markets moving into working with Many Shop fitting companies, Builders, Architects and Interior designers both on Commercial and Residential Projects with the focus being on Custom Designed and Quality Built Upholstered Furniture.

Creation Design now has its own frame shop where it can manufacture all internal frames to exact specifications, which makes the manufacturing process smoother, and more flexible. As a wholly owned and run WA company we proudly promote and support both locally and Australian made products
